To get onto the platform at Berala Station residents have to climb 33 steps. That might sound easy if you are fit, healthy and not loaded down with luggage. But if you are a mother with a pram, or elderly it is a big challenge. If you need a weelchair for your mobility then it means that you are denied access to rail transport. Why have residents in Amy Street recently found traffic noise almost unbearable? A conversation with a resident from Larcombe Street might provide some of the answers. In Auburn, even though we have great parks our dog’s are terribly short-changed.
